Gateway Profiled in JAMA

The Gateway Institute for Pre-College Education was profiled in the highly respected peer review Journal of the American Medical Association, more commonly known as JAMA. The article examines the history of the program and features interviews with former students, Advisory Board member Howard Hiatt, MD, senior physician in the Division of General Medicine of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and Gateway founder and director Morton Slater, PhD.

In addition to the history and assessment of the success of Gateway in New York, the article also focuses on the expansion into Boston and current explorations of taking the model to other cities nationwide.
